Simply a taste…

The first post of this blog was just a little taste of what to expect from “The Children’s Corner.” Focusing on all things children is our purpose. This blog is primarily a blog for the Early Learning Coalition of Miami Dade/Monroe. We are looking to gain recognition through social media sites in order to promote our mission.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with the Early Learning Coalition, we are a non profit organization dedicated to ensuring early education for children in Miami Dade/Monroe counties. The Coalition is among 31 similar organizations in the State of Florida established following the enactment of the School of Readiness Act. The act consolidated Florida’s early learning services into one integrated program. The Early Learning Coalition supports the school readiness of more than 50,000 children ages birth to five through a variety of innovative prekindergarten and early learning programs. The Early Learning coalition is committed to promoting early learning, advocating on behalf of children and preparing every child for success in both school and life.

I’m giving you the background behind “The Children’s Corner,” so that you can better understand the reason for this blog. We realize the vitality children bring to the world, and the Early Learning Coalition serves its purpose in allowing each child the opportunity to excel in life. As a way to share our mission, this blog aims to spark interest in children to the blogger world.
